Origines is located at Rue du Clos de la Chaux, 63500 Le Broc, close to Issoire, in the Puy-de-Dôme. Perched on the Plateau de la Chaux at 450m of altitude, at the foot of a 14th-century medieval castle, the establishment offers a 180° view over the volcanoes of Auvergne, 40 minutes south of Clermont-Ferrand.

Adrien Descouls is originally from Gelles, in the Combrailles. Trained in Chamalières and then alongside several Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, he honed his craft in Lyon and Paris before a notable stint on the TV show Top Chef.
In 2018, he returned to his native Puy-de-Dôme to create Origines, in Le Broc. His sommelier, Vincent Gardarin, was named Gault & Millau's Best Sommelier 2026.

Origines welcomes guests Tuesday to Saturday for dinner, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, as well as Friday and Saturday for lunch, from 12:00pm to 12:45pm.
The establishment is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Le Basalte, the bistronomic expression of the Origines house, is located in Issoire, about a 10-minute drive away. It is open Sunday to Thursday, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Check-in from 5:00pm (an earlier arrival can be arranged on request). Check-out before 11:30am.

It celebrates the terroir of Auvergne: local charcuterie, bread kneaded each night by head baker Olivier Pélisse, homemade jams, brioche, pastries made with AOP butter, Auvergne honey, farmhouse yoghurts from the Combrailles and farm eggs, with an optional granola and seasonal juice.
