Luxury Hotel & Michelin-Starred Restaurant in Auvergne

The thousand-year power of the living world
Auvergne is a thousand-year-old land shaped by geological forces - volcanoes, faults, erosion. It radiates a unique telluric energy that inspires the luxury hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant Origines. Its vibrant soils, its volcanoes rounded by time, and its fertile plains compose a landscape that is both powerful and soothing. Here, nature commands respect: it recalls the origin of the world while inviting us to slow down. A land of contemplation, a grandiose backdrop where time imposes its own rhythm, a fierce duality between telluric strength and pastoral gentleness.
« This Auvergne forges the identity of Origines. »
A land of contrasts, resilience and humility
From 250 to 1,886 metres above sea level, Auvergne is a mosaic. Farming on the plains, pastoral life in the mid-mountains, summer grazing near the peaks: each altitude tells its own way of inhabiting the land of Auvergne. Long isolated, the region was built on resilience, hard work and solidarity.
The people of Auvergne, renowned for being authentic, discreet and courageous, embody this identity forged by the landscape and history - an identity inherited by chef Adrien Descouls and his House, Origines, a luxury hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant in the Puy-de-Dôme.

A nurturing and generous land
Auvergne is a living larder. Its volcanic pastures nourish heritage breeds whose milk and meat carry the aromatic signature of the terroir. Iconic cheeses, lentils, gentian, charcuterie, characterful wines and thousand-year-old mineral waters make up a rustic, sincere and generous gastronomy. Here, every product tells the story of a landscape, a season, or an age-old gesture.
It is in this nourishing land, in Le Broc, between plain and mid-mountain, that Adrien Descouls anchored Origines: a place both understated and powerful, in perfect resonance with the soul of Auvergne.
